About this design

What makes it
feel like the table.

  • Red
  • Black
  • Mustard
  • Sky blue
  • Warm white

“Ready · Set · Eight” fills the top of the card on a red ground scuffed with streaky ink, and “Max Turns 8” sits just below on a black plate with angled ends and a mustard outline. Under it, a black-and-white checkered band curves down through the middle like a stretch of track, with dark tire marks running beside it, and two open-wheel race cars tear along either side: a red one on the left and a blue one lower down on the right, each with front and rear wings, fat black tires and a helmeted driver tucked into the cockpit. Red speed streaks trail the red car, blue and white streaks wrap around the blue one, and small mustard lightning bolts flash at the edges. At the bottom, a warm-white panel with clipped corners and a black and mustard border holds the details.

It is made to look like an old screen-printed race poster left out in the sun: the inks are faded and worn thin in places, the colors sit slightly off their outlines as if each layer was pulled by hand, and chunky halftone dots shade the cars, the track and the streaks behind them. Red, sky blue and mustard on warm white, with black for the outlines and checkers, keep the whole card bold and primary, and splitting red and blue between the two cars gives it a friendly head-to-head feel. There is no photo slot, so any young racing fan can be the guest of honor.

“Ready · Set · Eight” is set in towering, condensed warm-white capitals with a rough, ink-worn edge and round mustard dots between the words, and “Max Turns 8” follows in thick, blocky mustard capitals on the black plate. In the panel, every detail gets its own colored bar, like the rows of a race-day timing board: “Saturday, May 16” in black on sky blue, “3:00 - 6:00 PM” in warm white on red with diagonal red stripes at both ends, “Apex Raceway” in black on mustard between two small checkered patches, and the RSVP line in black on blue again, all in sturdy sans-serif capitals, with black speed lines fanning out beside the two blue bars.

Good to know

About this template.

Will my invitation look exactly like this one?

It will follow this design's direction: towering scuffed warm-white capitals on red and a mustard name on a black plate above a red and a blue open-wheel race car on a curving checkered track, with speed streaks, halftone dots and the details on colored bars in a framed warm-white panel. Because Inviti generates each invitation with AI from your details, the arrangement and lettering can differ from this sample.

Can I change “Eight” to a different age?

Yes. The headline is a starting countdown with the age taking the place of “go”, so “Ready · Set · Six” or “Ready · Set · Ten” works the same way, and the age shows up again in “Max turns 8”. The cars and the track carry no number. Enter your child's age along with their name, and read the generated headline closely before you share it.

Does it suit a kid who's past cartoon cars?

That is where it fits best. The racers are drawn like real open-wheel cars, with wings, exposed suspension and helmeted drivers, in the manner of an old printed race poster, with no faces on the cars and no mascots. The sample is for Max, but the red, blue and checkers suit any race fan, and Apex Raceway is only the sample's venue, so enter your karting center, park or backyard instead.

Can I print it?

Yes. The invitation is designed at 5×7 inches, and the app's print preparation can lay out copies on A4 or US Letter with crop marks. For the sharpest print, generate at full resolution rather than the introductory 1K size.

What matching pieces are there?

With Pro you can request matching pieces such as a “Race day menu” card, a “Welcome to Max's Race Day Rally” sign, a milestone sign with the name, age and date, a gifts and cards sign, a “Please leave a wish” sign, a time-capsule sign where guests write a note for future Max, a cake topper and cupcake toppers with the name and age, an initial-letter pennant, “Pit-stop bites” food labels, “Sweet victory” chocolate bar labels, “Max's Race Day Rally” water bottle labels, “You made my birthday a winner” thank-you cards and thank-you tags with the name. Each piece is a separate generation; the full sample set is shown below.
